Theoretical study of the scoping review type based on the standards of the Joanna Briggs Institute, carried out in April 2024, based on consultation of 15 data sources, followed by analysis of the articles by two independent reviewers using the Rayyan Web application. 17 articles were selected that addressed the difficulties faced by professional nurses, which were organized into three thematic categories: user difficulties, assistance and structure. Among the results, the following stood out: difficult adherence to treatment by the pregnant woman's partner, few educational actions in and for health, gaps in knowledge among professionals, insufficient resources to carry out early testing and obtain results in the necessary time . It is concluded that the dissemination of essential information to the population can sensitize them to the adoption of self-care actions and adherence to the treatment of gestational syphilis, while the permanent training of nurses provides security in managing the couple and standardizes the conduct recommended by the protocols and guidelines from the Ministry of Health.
