Monografia (graduação) - Escola de Múisca, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2016.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/33736Taking into account the variety of education models, non-formal education presents concepts that are consistent with the learning that occurs in the rehearsals and performances of the Potiguar Clarinets Orchestra (OPC). Having highlighted the practices that occurred in the group activities, it was noticed that the intention is manifested in a non-formal of education relationship and consequently, results in non-formal musical experiences. These students’ knowledges, besides being produced by acquisition of the contents previously established, they are also obtained through their own difficulties as they appear, from the necessities that show themselves on each rehearsal. In front of this, the major goal of this research was to investigate how the musical teaching and learning processes occur in the activities of the OPC. To know what the students and teachers think about the orchestra practices, interviews were developed for both parts. The questions made for the students attempted to identify their point of view regard the contributions that the musical practice of the orchestra provide them, whereas the questions directed to the teachers had as the goal analyzing their perspectives about the learning process of the group, this way as well as the reports about the teacher’s experience and the importance of the orchestra repertoire’s choice. The research showed that the activities of the group provide, beyond improvement on the musical readings and the group practice, extra musical experiences that have value for the personal life, such as: respect, creation of bonding friendships and opportunities to live moments of casualness.
