The final disposal or release of such waste in rivers becomes passive, the water company, the civil penalty, administrative and criminal. In this sense, this paper presents the results obtained in the characterization of wash water filter quick ETA in the city of Rebouças/PR, which uses the aluminum sulfate as coagulant. After characterization in the wash water filter, treatability tests were performed using three types of flocculant aids, two anionic polymers and a natural polymer, the potato starch. With the supernatants obtained for each polymer, the characterization was performed again in order to evaluate the effectiveness of using auxiliary of flocculation. It is concluded that the washing water filter WTP Rebouças/PR, has features that preclude its release into water bodies, and treatment with the use of polymers make possible the recycling of these waters to the process of WTP. Potato starch stood out among the flocculant aids used by the satisfactory results of tractability, and also for being a natural polymer, low cost and easy acquisitionPolímeroAmido de BatataÁgua de Lavagem de FiltrosRecirculaçãoCaracterização e tratamento de água de lavagem de filtros de ETA, com o uso de polímetros sintéticos e amido de batataCharacterization and treatment of water used to wash filters of WTP the use of synthetic polymers and potato starcharticle
