In light of this, the present study aims to analyze the process flow of resource management at UFRN, specifically focusing on Type B academic contracts managed by the Support Foundation, in order to identify possible improvements and optimize the process. To achieve this, a descriptive study with a qualitative approach was conducted, employing a case study methodology for the procedures. Data collection instruments included documentary research at the Coordination of Agreements (CAC)/PROAD involved in the process, as well as the focal group methodology and subsequent categorical analysis to comprehend all stages of the process. The results revealed difficulties in the process flow of academic projects, particularly Type B contracts, and improvement proposals were presented. It is necessary to enhance procedures, implement training courses, and utilize a robust data management solution.
