Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Farmácia) - Departamento de Farmácia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/58623Objective: To evaluate the inhalation technique of patients with chronic respiratory diseases and to outline a therapeutic adherence profile to the use of inhalation devices. Methods: Section of a cross-sectional and observational study carried out at the Central Unit of Therapeutic Agents (UNICAT), in Natal/RN. An individual interview was carried out with each patient, filling out a questionnaire about sociodemographic, clinical and disease control characteristics, in addition to evaluating the inhalation technique. Results: Among the 141 participants, the predominant inhalation device was the Aerolizer® system, used by 132 (93,6%) of them. In all systems used, the highest incidence of errors was observed in the post-administration stage of the technique, with the most frequent errors among Aerolizer® users being not rinsing their mouth without swallowing (87,9%); do not inhale slowly and deeply through the mouth (100%) by Respimat® users; and not cleaning properly (100%) by Ellipta® users. Conclusion: The evaluation applied allowed the verification of the existence of errors in the inhalation technique capable of affecting the effectiveness of the prescribed therapy, in addition to mistakes in the dosage. Added to the data on poor asthma control, it is possible to establish correlations that substantiate the occurrence of such unreason in individuals treated by the studied service.AsmaDPOCAdministração - inalaçãoAdesão medicamentosaAvaliação da técnica inalatória em pacientes portadores de doenças respiratórias crônicas em uso de dispositivos inalatóriosEvaluation of the inhalation technique in patients with chronic respiratory diseases using inhalation devicesbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::FARMACIA
