Orientador: Denílson da Silva Araújo. 2022. 52 f. Trabalho de conclusão de curso (Graduação em Ciências Econômicas) - Departamento de Economia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2022.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/50736The main objective of this monograph is to analyze FDI in Brazil in the period between 1990 and 2021. Its hypothesis is that FDI tends to be concentrated in regions and states that historically have greater and better capitalist infrastructure. The work is organized into three chapters, in addition to a brief introduction and final considerations. The first, entitled “From Economic Theories to Behavioral Theories of the Internationalization of the Large Company”, sought to demonstrate, through the classical theories of internationalization, how the internationalization of large productive capital occurred, its motives, mechanisms and instruments for internationalization and its behavioral pattern etc. In the second chapter, “Foreign Direct Investment in the Brazilian Economy”, foreign investment between 1990 and 2021 was analyzed. Based on this analysis, a strong tendency was observed towards the concentration of FDI, flows and stocks, as well as jobs created for this capital in the Southeast region and in some of its states. The third chapter, “Foreign Direct Investment in Selected Years and in the Period 2020-2021”, carried out an analysis of the current international scenario, showing a smaller inflow of FDI in Brazil, however, without interruption of its flow in relation to the economy Brazilian, notably in the years 2020 and 2021. As final considerations, it can be said that the largest foreign investor in Brazil continues to be the USA followed by some countries in Europe (France and Italy, for example), in addition to Japan. Moreover, it was observed that there is a strong trend, historically evident, of the concentration of FDI in the Southeast region, notably in the most dynamic sectors of industry and in the service sector.Atribuição 3.0 Brasilhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/br/Ciências EconômicasInvestimento estrangeiroEconomia brasileiraInternacionalizaçãoO investimento estrangeiro direto no Brasil (1990-2021)Foreign direct investment in Brazil (1990-2021)bachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS
