Herpes Zoster: revisão dos novos achados sobre a reativação e latência do Vírus Varicela Zoster. 2024. 28f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso. (Graduação em Biomedicina) - Centro de Biociências, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, RN, 2024https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/59997A Herpes Zoster, caused by the reactivation of the Varicella zoster virus, which initially causes chickenpox as a primary infection, is a disease that affects individuals over 50 years of age and immunocompromised individuals, presenting as a painful vesicular rash typically developing on the chest or face. This study reviewed the main findings from research published in the international database PubMed between 2018 and 2023, gathering relevant information on VZV reactivation and latency. Findings such as the expression of VLT-ORF63 fusion transcripts, their respective fusion proteins, and the viral gene expression profile during studies in neuronal populations in vitro have better characterized the viral reactivation mechanisms and the potential functions of the latency transcript VLT and ORF63 described during latency in trigeminal and dorsal root ganglia neurons.Attribution-NonCommercial 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/br/Vírus Varicela ZosterLatênciaReativaçãoHerpes Zoster: revisão dos novos achados sobre a reativação e latência do Vírus Varicela ZosterHerpes Zoster: review of New findings on the reactivation and latency of the Varicella-Zoster virusbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDECNPQ::CIENCIAS BIOLOGICAS::GENETICA::GENETICA MOLECULAR E DE MICROORGANISMOS
