The study of environmental perception is very important for the understanding of the man-nature relationship and can favor the preservation and more sustainable use of natural resources. The present study aimed to analyze the socio-environmental perception of the residents of the city of Natal/RN, regarding the destination and treatment of solid household waste. To this end, a questionnaire was developed with questions regarding the socioeconomic profile of each respondent, their waste management and disposal habits, as well as their knowledge about waste disposal and treatment. The quantitative questionnaire was applied online, through the Google forms platform, and the answers were analyzed descriptively, with the help of Microsoft Excel tool, showing the results in graphs. In general, the results show that the population of Natal has a brief notion about the care, management, and disposal of waste, but it is still necessary to invest in initiatives that encourage the concern of all with what we generate and how we will dispose of it, because each action reflects consequences for all.ColetaDescarteSeparaçãobachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS BIOLOGICAS
