Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Enfermagem) - Departamento de Ciências da Saúde, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/58651Objective: To analyze the clinical, sociodemographic dimensions and temporal trend of reported cases of Gestational Syphilis (GS) in Rio Grande do Norte (RN). Methodology: This is an ecological and quantitative study, prepared from secondary data collected in 2023 from SINAN through DATASUS, referring to the years 2019 to 2022. Results: The study reveals a significant increase in GS cases in RN between 2019 and 2022, with emphasis on the Metropolitan region, which recorded 1532 reported cases in 2022. A worrying trend of late diagnoses is observed, especially in the third trimester of pregnancy, indicating possible failures in prenatal care. The analysis points to the association between the lack of adequate treatment of pregnant women's partners and socioeconomic vulnerability with the incidence of GS, highlighting the need for comprehensive public policies. The results emphasize the importance of education programs for health professionals and improvements in the quality of prenatal care, together with specific regional strategies for effective control of GS. Furthermore, significant associations were observed between variables such as clinical classification, treatment regimen and the incidence of OS. Conclusion: This study highlights the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to dealing with GS in newborns. It is essential to implement continuing education programs for health professionals, improve the quality of prenatal care, involve partners in treatment and adopt specific strategies for each health region. Furthermore, effective epidemiological surveillance, with an emphasis on compulsory notification and the use of rapid tests, is essential to monitor and implement appropriate preventive and therapeutic measuresSífilisGravidezEstudos de Séries Temporaissyphilistime series studiespregnancyAnálise sociodemográfica, clínica e de tendência temporal da sífilis gestacionalno Rio Grande Do NorteSociodemographic, clinical and temporal trend analysis of gestational syphilis in Rio Grande Do NortebachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::ENFERMAGEM::ENFERMAGEM DE SAUDE PUBLICACNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::SAUDE COLETIVA::EPIDEMIOLOGIA
