Thus, this work aims to carry out a study on plasma deposition with cathode cylinders of MoS2 thin films on AISI 1020 steel substrates. °C, 350 °C and 400 °C, all with argon-rich atmosphere. After the treatments, they were submitted to chemical analyzes by X-ray diffraction (XRD), in addition to calotest tribological test. It was possible to quantify the coating thickness using scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
