In this context, mHealth (mobile health) is emerging as an innovative solution to promote selfcare and support public policies to combat chronic diseases such as breast cancer. The aim of this study was to develop a prototype application aimed at self-care for women diagnosed with breast cancer and undergoing chemotherapy. The research, which is methodological in nature and quantitative in approach, used design science research as a strategy and followed structured phases that included a scope review, instrument development, and content and appearance validations. The final prototype consists of nine screens that provide functionalities such as symptom monitoring, access to educational information, medication reminders, and the creation of a mutual support environment between users. The evaluation of the app's content and functionality showed significant agreement, with the highlight being the "self-care tips to promote well-being" functionality, which received a content validation index of 100%. The "Symptom Diary" and "Medication Schedule" also had high validation rates of 88.89%. The "Contact a healthcare professional with questions" feature had the lowest validation rate (66.67%), suggesting that future adjustments may be necessary. In terms of usability, the majority of experts rated the application's intuitive navigation and attractive design positively, with a validation rate of 88.89% for both aspects, which may be reflected in a satisfactory user experience. These results indicate a general acceptance of the prototype by the experts, although some areas could be improved to increase the quality of the future application. The study reinforces the relevance of information and communication technologies in the health sector and highlights the potential of mHealth to promote autonomy and improve the quality of life of patients, suggesting future research for extended validation and development of the system for practical application.
