This research analyzes the importance of criticizing the model operated by large companies, focusing on the Brazilian reality in this scenario. The essay problem can be summarized in the question: Is there room for Brazil in the digital revolution provided by virtual reality? The general objective is to critically analyze virtual reality technology and the dynamics of power and hegemony that large technology conglomerates can possess through these devices, and in relation to Brazil, evaluating issues of national sovereignty. The exploratory method with the bibliographic review technique was used.
