Understanding that the extension and criticization of this debate is fundamental, we consider that it is very quite important encourage the discussion in health policy. Thus, this research aims to analyze the understanding of health professionals of the Obstetric Clinic of the Regional Hospital Mariano Coelho (RHMC) about the type(s) of family that presented daily in their intervension process.
