Impacto do bochecho de solução de carboidrato e cafeína sobre a percepção de esforço em praticantes de cross training. 2024. 16 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Nutrição) - Faculdade de Ciências da Saúde do Trairi, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Santa Cruz, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/61223The present study aimed to assess the impact of carbohydrate (CHO) and caffeine (CAF) mouth rinse solution on the perceived exertion in cross training. The sample consisted of 07 participants. The collection was prepared in two cycles where two mouth rinse solutions were applied: BCC (Carbohydrate and Caffeine Solution Mouthwash) and BP (Placebo Solution Mouthwash). In the first cycle, the sample was fasted for 3 hours before training. In the second cycle, the participants had a snack 2 hours before training. Solutions with 1,7 g of maltodextrin at a concentration of 8% and 8 mg/kg of caffeine were offered in the composition of the BCC solution and 25 ml of water with a portion of 25 ml of sucralose in the composition of the BP solution. In this perspective, the participants performed the mouth rinses of the solutions in times of 15, 30 and 45 minutes. The subjective perceived of exertion was performed at 18, 33 and 48 minutes. The results demonstrated that the levels of perceived effort in fasting, at 48 minutes, were higher when the sample rinsed the mouth with CHO and CAF solution (M = 6.86; SD = 1.77) compared to the mouth with placebo solution (M = 5.00; SD = 2.58) (t (7) = -2.77, p = 0.03). It is inferred that carbohydrate and caffeine solution mouth rinse had no impact on the perceived exertion of cross training practitioners.Attribution-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/3.0/br/Cross trainingBochechoCarboidratoCafeínaPercepção de esforçoImpacto do bochecho de solução de carboidrato e cafeína sobre a percepção de esforço em praticantes de cross trainingImpact of carbohydrate and caffeine solution mouth rinse on the perceived exertion in cross training practitionersbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE
