Starting from the context of similarity between modern clothing and traditional architecture in South Korea, the proposal arises to develop a new version of the women's life hanbok (saenghwal hanbok) based on the double decoding of graphic elements from the interior design of traditional Korean houses (hanok). The work method covered in this project is descriptive and exploratory in nature. The first phase begins with the research and bibliographical review of historical and iconographic aspects about traditional Korean culture, seeking to obtain materials relating to the evolution of the product and inspiring environments, used as a background theme for the development of the project. In the second part of the project, the creation phase, the experimental tool for decoding graphic elements was used to execute both the product and create patterns for its surface, complemented by classic modeling and manufacturing techniques. The proposed solution was reproduced in a partial model to improve the concept, in which it became clear that the clothing obtained can be characterized as a piece of clothing for everyday use as it manages to bring together, according to the objectives outlined, the pressing characteristics of traditional and modern clothing.Design de Moda.
