Evolução motora e qualidade de vida de indivíduos com doença de Parkinson participantes de grupo terapêutico remoto durante pandemia da Covid-19: um estudo longitudinal. 2022. 62f. Despite its progressive course, physiotherapeutic treatment plays an important role in improving functional capacity and preventing secondary complications, and can be performed in individual and group modalities. Objective: To analyze the pattern of motor evolution and perception of quality of life of PD patients participating in the therapeutic group. Methodology: A longitudinal, prospective, cohort study, in which 14 individuals with PD participating in a therapeutic group were evaluated quarterly to monitor the pattern of motor evolution and quality of life. In total, five evaluations were carried out, in remote format (Google Meet®), over a period of 15 months (February 2021 to May 2022). Motor evolution was evaluated from Part III of the Movement Disorders Society - Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (MDS-UPDRS), while for quality of life, the Parkinson Disease Questionnaire–39 (PDQ-39) was used. Sociodemographic and clinical data (age, monthly income, number of falls in the last 3 months and in the last month, and time of diagnosis) were also obtained. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) of repeated measures was applied to compare the variables over time for the outcomes of motor evolution, gait, bradykinesia, mobility and quality of life, and Spearman's Correlation to correlate each sociodemographic and clinical factor with the pattern of motor evolution (MDS-UPDRS score from the last assessment - score from the first assessment). Results: No statistically significant difference was observed for motor function, quality of life, gait, bradykinesia and mobility outcomes. No correlation was found between the pattern of motor evolution and sociodemographic and clinical variables. The pattern of motor evolution, given by the delta of the modified total score of the MDS-UPDRS, presented a mean of 1.04 (standard deviation of 12.92), indicating stability of this variable. Conclusion: Participants showed a pattern of stability in motor evolution and quality of life during follow-up in a period of 15 months, which can be a result of the balance between negative influences - such as disease progression and reduced activity levels as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic - and positive, such as group physical therapy practice.
