Several segments went through difficulties, especially those that demanded the physical presence of people, such as air transport and tourism. Others have already managed to grow at that time, such as streaming platforms, which took advantage of opportunities and obtained good results in the period. One of the important sectors for society are the banks, which have the function of taking resources and lending them to customers, that is, they function as a link between savers and borrowers. In this sense, the present work aims to evaluate the economic and financial indicators of the largest banks with shares traded on B3 in the pre and post covid 19 pandemic period. To carry out this financial analysis, financial, profitability and leverage indicators were analyzed , in order to present the results obtained. The period of analysis was from 2018 to 2022, which makes it possible to make an assessment considering the before, during and after the covid-19 pandemic. The data were obtained from the Refinitv-Eikon platform, analyzing the largest banks with market value in Brazil: Banco do Brasil, Bradesco, BTG Pactual, Itaú and Santander. The results pointed out that the banks had oscillation in the period, mainly in the profitability indicators, which may be a consequence of the covid-19 pandemic.
