The context of the modern work environment, known for its substantial influence on individual well-being and productivity, served as the primary focus of this investigation. Current research has been inclined towards analyzing the adverse elements present in the corporate environment, a need amplified by the increasing complexity and volatility in the contemporary business landscape. In this context, the main objective of this study was to examine the impact of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices on the engagement of employees in a Brazilian financial institution. For data collection, two instruments were used: the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) by Schaufeli and Bakker (2004), and a questionnaire specifically developed for this study, named EPPESG - Scale of Perception of ESG Practices. The sample consisted of employees from the aforementioned financial institution. Data analysis employed factorial analysis and linear regression methodologies. The results demonstrate a positive and statistically significant correlation between the implementation of ESG practices and an increase in employee engagement in the workplace. The research revealed that the adoption of ESG practices significantly contributes to employee engagement, explaining 44% of the variation observed in this parameter. This finding underscores the importance of integrating robust and clearly defined ESG policies into organizational strategies.
