From this research we developed the idea of a literary geoculinary that could bring elements to think about feeding practices in Brazil. From the perspective of literary geography and performing a search on four levels were found 50 works of Brazilian literature which emphasized the issue of feeding in different parts the national territory. These works were located in culinary spots: portions of territory that constitute regions for the study of food. Seven spots were located where the pieces found were ordered: backwoods, hick, southern, coast, amazon, reconcavo and Salvador and central. From the initial mapping they were excluded the works that made no specific references and elements of Brazilian geospace and those prior to the twentieth century. At the end remaining 27 works. In this current stage, the objective of the research is to characterize the geoculinay that make up each of these spots. Taking the space as an inseparable set of objects and actions systems, five variables were defined as starting points to characterize them: the ingredients, traditional processed products, culinary preparations, tools and actions related to the food system. Such elements will be collected in the works of this spot in order to characterize the geculinary stains. The results will be presented in descriptive charts, tables, graphs and maps developed with the support of geoprocessing softwares. At the end we intend to create maps that list the ingredients, products, preparations, tools and more frequent actions in each spot and those that are transverse to all spots.
