Felicidade subjetiva e motivação acadêmica: um estudo de correlação entre as escalas nos estudantes de Ciências Contábeis da UFRN. Orientador: Adriana Isabel Backes Steppan. 2023. 47 f. By exploring the dimensions of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, researchers seek to identify effective strategies for cultivating interest in learning and promoting student engagement. Studies on Subjective Happiness play a vital role in understanding psychological well-being and quality of life. Investigating the intersection of these two domains, the present study seeks to understand how students' motivation levels directly impact their perceived happiness or vice versa. Thus, the study was developed with the application of the Subjective Happiness Scale developed by Lyubomirsky and Lepper and a version of the Academic Motivation Scale produced by Guimarães and Bzuneck. The sample was composed of 104 students from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), distributed between the 2nd and 8th periods. A Confirmatory Factor Analysis was carried out on the data collected to verify whether the model proposed by EMA is suitable for the observed sample. After making some adjustments, it was identified that the highest averages found were in the Extrinsic Motivation by Integrated Regulation factor and the lowest in the Demotivation factor for both periods. There was a statistically significant increase in the factors Demotivation, Extrinsic Motivation due to External Regulation and Extrinsic Motivation due to Identified Regulation from the 2nd to the 8th period, which was measured by the Mann-Whitney test. No relevant correlation was found between EFS and EMA. The work data analysis was carried out using the Statistics and Data Science (STATA) software, version 17.0, and through Excel.Attribution-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/3.0/br/Felicidade Subjetivamotivação acadêmicaTeoria da AutodeterminaçãoCiências ContábeisFelicidade subjetiva e motivação acadêmica: um estudo de correlação entre as escalas nos estudantes de Ciências Contábeis da UFRNSubjective happiness and academic motivation: a correlation study between the scales in accounting sciences students at UFRNbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS
