The objective of this work is to analyze the literature available in the CAPES Periodicals database on science teaching through the research method in the early years of Elementary School, between the years 2012 to 2022, seeking information from the main scientific works that contribute to future studies. The methodology was carried out through online searches in the accessible and free journal in the CAPES Journals database, based on the methodology described in four stages. The result was a total of 10 articles, which presented scientific bases for the issue of scientific literacy through the research method.
