Among them, the Angico Stream, which once flowed through the town center, was canalized in the mid-20th century and transformed into a space for community interaction and leisure for the local population. However, over time, the lack of proper maintenance has led to the canal's degradation, compromising its environmental and urban functions. Currently, the area faces serious issues, such as pollution, deteriorated banks, and inadequate infrastructure, limiting its use as a public space. In response to this situation, this study aims to develop an urban and landscape revitalization project for the canal’s banks, integrating ecological and leisure practices that honor its historical memory and reconnect people with the place. The methodological framework includes field surveys for environmental and urban analysis, as well as the identification of landscape units translated into design practices.
