In this perspective, the present work aims to highlight the importance of children's literature for the development of orality, through an autobiographical account, in which from the experiences lived, I present some memories of my childhood in which makes it possible to relate the fable. and snow, with my process of orality development. As a theoretical reference, we used the studies of Antunes (2003), Lúria (1991), Vygotsky (1998) Freitas (2000), Fontana e Cruz (1997), Arroyo (1994) and Zilberman (2003). We employ qualitative research procedures in education, particularly the (auto) biographical method. The experiences brought from my childhood show that the interaction with the fable, through the incentives of good teachers, allowed the significant contact with literature, enabling the improvement of orality in aspects related to speech enhancement and social interactions. Thus, it is concluded that children's literature, for me, became essential, since it gave me relevant contributions to the development of my orality, providing knowledge of me and what is around me.Desenvolvimento da Oralidade.
