Covering the period from the launch of the first newspaper in the state, O Natalense, in 1832, to the advent of the Republic in 1889, this era is a key chapter in the history of Rio Grande do Norte. Drawing on bibliographic research, the study traces the development of local media, the dissemination of information, and the political context in which news was spread.
