Using bibliographical research methodology, we conduct reflection from the conductor's perspective, considering the particularities of his performance at the head of amateur groups, as the main agent of technical and artistic training for these groups, with the aim of assisting him in his performance. In the first chapter, we review the central concepts of the work: adult amateur choirs, conductors of amateur choirs, vocal training and the following aspects of vocal technique: posture, breath management, resonance, diction, vocal registration and choral techniques. In the second chapter, we discuss how the specialized scientific literature consulted was selected and what practical strategies this literature brings to work on vocal technique and the sound of adult amateur choirs.
