Method: A quantitative descriptive study with a longitudinal and retrospective design, using physical patient records from the CAPS in the municipality of Icapuí as a data source. Spreadsheets related to user profiles and treatments were developed for the period from 2019 to 2022, employing descriptive statistics for data analysis. Results: A total of 466 patient records receiving prescriptions for anxiolytics, antidepressants, and hypnotics were analyzed. In characterizing user profiles, 72.1% were women, 31.5% were aged 36 to 50, and 32.4% had a diagnosis of anxiety disorder. Regarding psychotropic consumption, there was an increase in the prescription of all classes, especially in 2021. Among antidepressants, sertraline was the only representative of the class that showed an increase in consumption in 2020, while other antidepressants decreased. For anxiolytics, clonazepam consumption was prevalent, with an average monthly consumption of 1,876.77 mg. Hypnotics saw a 35.8% reduction in prescriptions in 2020 but an increase of 106.3% in the following year. Conclusion: The results identify the predominance of females and the adult age group in the consumption of psychotropic medications by CAPS users.
