It was motivated by the author's experience using games in the classroom and by the need to expand knowledge in order to improve her teaching practice. To collect data, a literature review was conducted, focusing on the period between 2015 and 2024. The sources included the congresses of the Associação Brasileira de Educação Musical (ABEM) and the Associação Nacional de Pesquisa e Pós-graduação em Música (ANPPOM). The study concludes that, although playfulness and the use of games are recurring topics, gamification remains a limited subject in music education research in the country.
