Although the area of History of Education will demonstrate a great intensification of research on School Institutions, we observed a small portion related to early childhood education institutions and its history. From this perspective, it aimed to analyze how was the implementation process of the Christmas kindergarten in the years from 1908 to 1953, reflecting about the educational model proposed by the institution. The choice of kindergarten was given for pioneering education intended to small infants, to promote an integral formation of children of North Rio Grande society. So when dialogarmos on the History of Childhood Christmas Model Garden, we will be addressing what would be the main constituent aspects of a school routine. We chose to use as an analytical criterion to School Culture, with the Julia leads, Chervel, Frago and Escolano; and appreciation Iconográfica Kossoy and Dubois. Because we believe that through the images is possible to conceive of the school as a knowledge production space, training civilian habits and behaviors. Compounding the methodological procedures, text looks us about the historical sources collected in the History and Geography of Rio Grande do Norte Institute (IHGO / RN), the Historical Collection of the Institute of Education President Kennedy (IESP), the Government posts, the legislation ( Laws and Decrees), photographs, floor plan and personal files of former students.
