Methods: Qualitative study carried out from February 9 to April 9, 2022 with 15 physiotherapists working at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the Northeast region of Brazil, basedon theoretical data saturation. Results: Data collection took place through interviews through the Google Meet® virtual platform with 5 guiding questions. The interviews were evaluated through content analysis where 7 categories were identified: Forms of physiotherapeutic assistance; Attitudes to encourage family integration; Family-centered Practice Strategy; Hospital Routine; Family sensations; Knowledge about Family Centered Practice; Characteristics of the hospitalized baby. Final Considerations: The professionals had a total or partial lack of knowledge about thePCF, however, they recognize the importance of applying the approach as a new alternative for humanization within the NICU. The high demand for the service and the lack of more professionals make it a challenging point.
