O jornalismo e a crise epistêmica na pandemia: análise dos comentários dos usuários da Tribuna do Norte durante a cobertura da pandemia do novo coronavírus. 2025. 64 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Jornalismo) - Departamento de Comunicação Social, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/64897It is proposed in this work to understand the meanings experienced and interpreted in the comments of the Tribuna do Norte page on Instagram during the pandemic of the new coronavirus, which appeared in the news and in the social imaginary in January 2020. The appearance of the Sars-Cov-2 virus happened during a period of a world in epistemic crisis, in which institutions such as science and journalism have lost before society the credibility and legitimation of the truth that it once held. This crisis is more clearly perceived as of 2016, with the election of Donald Trump as president of the United States and Brexit in England - both votes influenced by the existence of fake news and discredit of journalism - and the scenario has become more reflected upon since then (SANTAELLA, 2019). With the new coronavirus, philosophers predicted the recovery of the credibility of these two institutions. The research originated in order to question if, in fact, there is a social recovery in the face of science and journalism as validators of the truth. Throughout the work, the fragility of measuring this recovery was perceived, given the contemporary crisis and the shock of speeches; the main aim started by seeking to identify which meanings are conveyed by the social actors that interact with the Tribuna do Norte fanpage in the reports that use scientific discourse to validate the journalistic discourse itself. The method used to analyze the comments was the Critical Discourse Analysis (ACD), with an emphasis on the three-dimensional model (FAIRCLOUGH, 2001), specifically in the concepts of intertextuality, interdiscursivity and coherence. The data was collected in posts published on the pages of the Tribuna do Norte and on the social network website Instagram, referring to three reports published between May and July this year, which resulted in 863 comments. The most recurring speeches were listed for analysis, viewed in the pre-analysis stage and separated, for better understanding during the analysis, in categories of similar meanings. A critical reading of the perceived speeches was then carried out, followed by a synthesis of the observed meanings related to the current epistemic crisis of journalism and science during the Sars-Cov-2 pandemic. The investigation reveals speeches in different directions, showing an ideological dispute between the different social actors.CC0 1.0 Universalhttp://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/coronavíruscrise epistêmicatribuna do nortepós-verdadeinstagramepistemic crisispost-truthO jornalismo e a crise epistêmica na pandemia: análise dos comentários dos usuários da Tribuna do Norte durante a cobertura da pandemia do novo coronavírusJournalism and epistemic crisis in the pandemic: analysis of user comments from Tribuna do Norte during the coverage of the new coronavirus pandemicbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS::COMUNICACAO
