This research aimed to analyze the changes in understanding about the phenomenon of medicalization of education with teachers who work in the early years of elementary school, in the state public education network of RN, from a collaborative continuing education with 26 participants, including teachers, coordinators pedagogues and managers, and has as its theoretical foundation some principles of cultural-historical psychology. With the completion of this collaborative training process, a proposal for ongoing collaborative training on the topic of medicalization of childhood education was structured to be shared with the school community. The investigation and training process took place remotely, because of the uncertainties caused by the COVID-19 global pandemic. Data collection on training demands, on the issue of medicalization of education, was carried out through a questionnaire applied to teachers. Once the demands were identified, the unfolding of the collaborative training process on medicalization in the educational context was carried out. The data obtained, considering the speeches of the participants, were organized into three thematic axes for analysis and discussions, being I - I still don’t have knowledge about the topic, II - Society puts the solution in the medicine, III - A new look at the thematic.
