However, studies on gender dynamics in organizations focus, for the most part, on the relationship between men and women, with gaps relating to transsexuals and travesti. This study aimed to construct and validate a questionnaire to assess diversity management practices in healthcare organizations focusing on the gender identity of transgender and travesti populations. To this end, the methodological research was structured in two phases: construction of the questionnaire supported by an integrative literature review (LILACS, SCIELO databases and CAPES journals) and questionnaire validation by a sample of experts (n=3). The review identified variables that the questionnaire should include to evaluate diversity management practices aimed at the trans and travesti population. Thus, the information extracted from the 13 articles showed: use of social name/change of civil registration in selection processes, low education, use of bathrooms, changing rooms and uniforms, prejudice and unpreparedness of organizations to deal with transsexuality. Then, a questionnaire was structured with 34 items and 7 sub-items, totaling 41 topics evaluated according to validity and importance by experts using a Likert-type scale at two moments (t1: post review and t2: post 1st evaluation). At t1, changes were indicated in 13 topics (adaptation of terms and wording). Thus, after applying the suggestions, the t2 evaluation was carried out, where 39 topics (32 items and 7 sub-items) were judged important and valid by 100% of the evaluators, enabling a questionnaire with three blocks of questions. The questionnaire produced can be applied in different local contexts to evaluate social inclusion and staff education aimed at the trans and transvestite population in the organizational environment of health services and systems. Investigating the social markers of difference is important not only for the trans and travesti population, but for everyone who is excluded from the basic rights to be born, live, work and die in a dignified and satisfactory way, so that effective public policies can be developed.
