Acesso à alimentação por pessoas em situação de rua: uma revisão narrativa. Orientadora: Nila Patrícia Freire Pequeno. 2025. 33f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Nutrição) – Departamento de Nutrição, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/61233Access to food for the homeless population (HP) is a complex and challenging social problem. This population faces significant barriers, such as lack of financial resources, social exclusion and the absence of a fixed address, which hinders access to public policies, such as income transfer policies or access to food services, contributing to a framework of Food Insecurity (FI). Although there are public facilities and food assistance programs that serve this population, such as soup kitchens, community kitchens, public shelters, etc., these services are often limited in terms of coverage, quantity and opening hours. This results in constant food insecurity for this population. The problem is directly related to social marginalization and the lack of effective public policies. Therefore, this study consisted of a narrative review with the aim of investigating access to food for the homeless population through the analysis of works published in databases or institutional repositories, from 2014 to 2024, in order to identify and reflect on advances, improvements and setbacks that were observed during this period. After searching and selecting by inclusion and exclusion criteria, 6 publications were selected, originating from research carried out in the Southeast and South regions, with the Southeast region having the most publications (n=5). The studies were based on the application of questionnaires and interviews with the homeless population, informing them about the conditions and places where meals are prepared and/or distributed to these people. In addition, 3 of the 6 publications addressed the intensification of food insecurity among the homeless after the COVID-19 pandemic. The results reinforce that access to food is a basic need and a fundamental human right. The absence of effective public policies and an integrated approach seriously compromises the health and dignity of the homeless populationInsegurança alimentarPopulação em situação de ruaDireito humano à alimentação adequadaHomeless populationFood insecurityHuman Right to Adequate FoodAcesso à alimentação por pessoas em situação de rua: uma revisão narrativaAccess to food for people experiencing homelessness: a narrative reviewbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::NUTRICAO
