Desenvolvimento de um banco de dados de suplementos nutricionais pediátricos. 2022. 38f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (graduação) – Departamento de Nutrição, Centro de Ciências da Saúde, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, RN, 2022.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/51062Eating behavior in childhood is crucial for health conditions throughout life, and may be influenced by several factors and increase morbidity and mortality, as a result of qualitatively and quantitatively unsatisfactory intake. Therefore, supplementation appears as a possible alternative to satisfy nutritional demands. In addition, infant formulas are essential to ensure that the baby who cannot be breastfed grows and develops without further damage. Given this, and the vast amount of formulations available on the market and their diversities, one also understands the complexity of prescribing them during clinical care. Therefore, it was necessary to compile infant formulas and pediatric nutritional supplements and establish a grouping of the respective information. Thus, the objective of this work was to create a database capable of compiling data referring to the offer of energy, macro and micronutrients and fibers, according to the homemade measure contained in each label, in order to systematize the nutritional prescriptions. For this, searches were carried out on the main websites and pockets of nationally marketed manufacturers and all data collected were tabulated using Microsoft Excel®. The results revealed a final sample of 75 products, including dietary supplements (40%), infant formulas (32%), dairy compounds (10.6%) and modules (17.4%), which presented numerous variations, from the nomenclature from standard measurement to grammage, types of presentation, and composition, being further classified and distinguished according to these specificities. From this, a worksheet was created that will function as a support tool in clinical care, whose objective is to facilitate prescriptions and make them more descriptive, both for the professional and for the patient.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Comportamento alimentareating behaviorPadrões de referênciareference standardsMicronutrientesmicronutrientsNível de saúdehealth levelDesenvolvimento de um banco de dados de suplementos nutricionais pediátricosDevelopment of a database of pediatric nutritional supplementsbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS BIOLOGICAS
