Method: This is a systematic review of the literature, based on the recommendations of PRISMA and the precepts of the Cochrane Handbook, which sought to know the Brazilian experiences of care directed to oncology in primary health care. A systematic search for articles by two independent researchers in May 2018 in the Virtual Health Library - VHL. The inclusion criteria were: studies that aimed to present actions of any nature (educational, diagnostic, intervention or planning-management) directed at cancer or cancer patients or to the relatives of these patients developed in the primary care health by any professional core and network service. Results: The initial search in the database resulted in 7,001 articles, but after applying the filter for publications referring to Brazil, this number fell to 585 identified publications. Of this total, only 20 articles were included in the qualitative synthesis. Conclusions: The study shows that in relation to cancer patients, it has been seen in several studies that most Primary Care professionals are not aware of the National Cancer Care Policy and do not have the qualification to provide care to cancer patients. Thus.
