Therefore, we seek to respond to the problem: why the play is seen in many school units, as a means of passing time, without satisfactory meanings in the child's learning process. Thus , we draw the purpose to understand the importance of play as a facilitating factor in the meaningful learning process. For this discussion we turn to authors such as Piaget (1998), Vygotsky (2007), Wajskop (2005), Friedmann (2011), among others. The methodology was qualitative, literature and empirical research.
