Natal, historically always suffered, and still suffers today, with a lack of services. To address this shortage, since 2015, the Rio Grande do Norte Water and Sewage Company (CAERN) has been implementing the Sanitary Sewage System (SES), a broad project to serve the entire city. The present work aims to analyze the Environmental Education practices carried out through a CAERN project, as well as to control the scope of activities for the population of the Municipality of Natal, which is being benefited by the implementation of the SES. It contains a summary of the Brazilian basic sanitation legal system, from the Federal Constitution of 1988, of the State of Rio Grande do Norte and the Municipality of Natal, in addition to bringing information about the project developed by the company, with its environmental education actions during the period from July 2018 to December 20. methodologically, those implemented techniques and actions were analyses, based on the compliance of ordinance no. $applied in different age groups and levels of education, such as sanitary sewage issues and their close relationship with health, well-being, environmental quality, and the economy, in addition to a comprehensive analysis from the sources available by the company using the Method of Document Study. The study showed that the population is lacking in information, most users, including those with low income, among the priorities that are ordered in their lives, cannot see that this information presented by the project is of great value to it’s life quality. The results obtained suggest that the work carried out in the Legal Exhaustion Project of CAERN is in accordance with the relevant legislation.
