Diagnóstico situacional dos servidores que não realizam os exames médicos periódicos em uma Universidade Pública. 2020. 143f. Dissertação (Mestrado Profissional em Práticas de Saúde e Educação) - Escola de Saúde, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2020.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/30946Promoting government employee health, besides having its own effort as an active agent in the protection of your own health, involves multi-professional and multi-management strategies. In this perspective, the Periodical Medical Examination acts as an important tool to compose epidemiological profiles, since it allows collectively assessing the health condition of the employees, as well as early detecting illnesses related or not to their job. In this context, this work aimed to build a situational diagnosis and some strategies to face the causes of nonperformance the Periodic Exams at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. This work is an exploratory and descriptive research, with a multi-sequential strategy, with a quantitative and qualitative approach. Thus, after the favorable opinion of the UFRN Ethics Committee, data collection took place in two stages. In the first, with a quantitative approach, some data were collected in the ‘’Módulo Órgão’’ of the SIAPEnet web portal. Then, to collect the qualitative approach, invitations were sent by email to the participants, to fill out a questionnaire with open-ended and multiple-choice questions. The data were analyzed, respectively, by descriptive statistics and content analysis according to Laurence Bardin. The results revealed that the characteristic common to the profile of these servants is subjective, referring to the low expectation regarding the potential of the service to solve their health demands; and the main cause identified for not performing the exams refers to the lack of time and / or priority. Thus, it was found that the critical point for departure service is directly associated with the low effectiveness in communicating the intended actions, evidenced by the low adherence, related to the non-observance of its importance as a surveillance tool, in addition to the insufficient knowledge of the employees in regarding the need and importance of monitoring your health. This paradigm shift can be achieved by making strategic adjustments to flows, in addition to providing clearer and more accurate information. Finally, we highlight the need for targeted, collective and intersectoral actions, with intentional and programmed methods, in order to reach these public workers.Acesso AbertoServiços de saúde do trabalhadorVigilância em saúde do trabalhadorServidores públicosExames médicosDiagnóstico situacional dos servidores que não realizam os exames médicos periódicos em uma Universidade PúblicamasterThesis
