The storytelling depicts stories, experiences, values and ideals of a time. Later, there was the emergence of the tale, legend, fable, myth, among others, through the acquisition of language and the need for and experience of a people. The tales specifically theme of this study, are rediscovered by readers, bringing incantations. This is a bibliographic research, with the aim to gather and condense the work done on the subject of stories in the literacy process. Therefore, in appropriated evidence from various methodologies and approaches various sources. There was a need for studies to work the theme, allowing to broaden the discussion on educational meetings and increase access this intervention in classrooms, from the findings of their contributions.
