To achieve this objective, the drinking water supply and sanitary sewage services aim, for 2033, at a coverage rate of 99% and 90%, respectively. Historically, the development of the water supply sector in Rio Grande do Norte has surpassed the average of the Northeast region however, in the sanitary sewage sector the situation is the opposite. Therefore, this work proposes to analyze the evolution of the indicators of drinking water supply and sewage in Rio Grande do Norte in the period from 2007 (beginning of act nº 11.445/2007) to 2019, the last reference year available when it started this research. The methodology of this analysis used mainly secondary data extracted from the National Sanitation Information System (SNIS) database. Operational indicators for water, operational sewage, the quality of services provided, and financial indicators were analyzed.
