This study aims to analyze the experiences of the subjects who participated in a group with defined strategies, in relation to their quality of life, disease control and exercise of personal autonomy. This is a participatory study, with a qualitative approach, supported by reflexivity. The work showed that the group assumes a characteristic of a support network, where the premise of exchanging experiences contributes significantly to the process of transforming the other, contributing to the process of co-construction of the personal autonomy of the subjects involved. It can be concluded that group practices as a health promotion device, allow a positive impact on people's quality of life, development of autonomy and self-care.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/Diabetes mellitusAutonomia pessoalPromoção da saúdeEnfermagemGrupo estratégico de promoção da saúde como dispositivo de cuidado a pessoas com Diabetes MellitusStrategic health promotion group as a care device for people with Diabetes MellitusbachelorThesisEnfermagemSaúde Coletiva
