The use of biomass as a source of renewable energy is an alternative solution to replace traditional fossil fuels and pollutants. This paper presents a mathematical modeling of complete combustion based on the elementary composition of biomass and the energy analysis of a mixed boiler that uses bamboo chips as fuel to supply steam to the process of large textile industry. The boiler has an average production of 7900 kg/h and working pressure of 9,95 kg/cm², producing saturate steam. The modeling is performed in the software EES and important parameters in the combustion process are added, such as useful heat power, excess air, percentage of fuel moisture, standard enthalpy of biomass formation and later relations of general boiler efficiency are established through the application of balances of the first law of thermodynamics.
