Dissertação (Mestrado em Saúde Coletiva) - Centro de Ciências da Saúde, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2018.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/jspui/handle/123456789/27172An ecological study that analyzed breast cancer mortality in women, aged 40 to 79 years, in the Immediate Regions of Urban Articulation (RIAU) of Brazil, from 2001 to 2005 from 2011 to 2015, using the data from the System of Information on the Unified Health System (SUS). Spatial autocorrelation was shown for the standardized mortality rate (TMP) for breast cancer in the periods 2001-2005 with Moran global I = 0.647 (p = 0.01) and in 2011-2015 with Moran global I = 0.484 (p = 0.01), observing the highest rates in the South and Southeast regions. There was a significant increase in TMP due to breast cancer in the North and Northeast regions when the periods studied were compared. In the bivariate spatial analysis, there was a positive correlation between PMT and the ratio of mammography (I = 0.347), number of mammographs (I = 0.377), mastologists (I = 0.173), hospitalizations for breast cancer (I = 0.430), urbanization rate (I = 0,328), aging rate (0,463) and HDI (I = 0,487). These results may be related to the opportunities of access to the health system and the socioeconomic conditions in the regions.
