Methods: A quantitative, descriptive, andcross-sectional study was conducted with the application of an original questionnaireon sociodemographic profile, lifestyle habits, and self-perception, conducted inperson at the central UBS in Santa Cruz - RN. Seventy-three patients with DM2 wereanalyzed by convenience. The analysis was performed in Microsoft Excel, using thechi-square test and organizing the data in pivot tables for later discussions. Results:Most of the participants were female (84.93%), over 50 years old (87.68%), and hada family history of DM2 (87.67%). The data also indicated significant dissatisfactionregarding diabetes, as in 65.75% of the cases.
