The methodological approach involved action research with a qualitative descriptive focus, using the Cheerleading Group of Municipal School Professor Severino Bezerra de Melo as the field for pedagogical intervention. It was observed that the teaching of this cultural movement can be recontextualized in various ways within the school environment through historical contextualization of the genre, the appreciation of documentaries and images reflecting the theme, and the production of materials used during the classes.
