By looking at the best understanding of this conjuncture, this research is based on the methodological representation of a triangulation of data collection, contemplating respectively three pillars, which in turn, develop the three chapters of this dissertation, to know: a literature review of the technical and orthodontic aspects concerning embouchure: an autobiographical account of the processes of adaptation and development of the trumpet embouchure at the expense of the use of the fixed orthodontic appliance; an analytical and evaluative approach to technical-instrumental performance. With this, we aim to bring the point of view of practice and instrumental performance, presenting the influences that the use of the fixed orthodontic appliance could infer in the development of the mouth, technique and preparation for the performance of the trumpet player in question, besides the methodological alternatives found to deal with this circumstance and the results obtained during the experience lived by the object of this study.
