Acesso em: 31 mar. 2023.2447-0120https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/52004The research aims to map the Brazilian scientific production that problematizes the ethical, social, and political dimension of the knowledge organization, also seeking to identify the social relations between researchers that allow configuring the domain. The research is bibliometric, with a qualitative-quantitative approach, with a methodological contribution of domain analysis. Data collection was carried out in the sources Base de Dados Referenciais de Artigos de Periódicos em Ciência da Informação (BRAPCI), in the proceedings of the Encontro Nacional de Pesquisa em Ciência da Informação (ENANCIB) and in the series "Advanced Studies in Knowledge Organization" of the Brazilian chapter of the International Society for Knowledge Organization (ISKO-BRASIL). 52 documents published between 2004 and 2019 were retrieved. Scientific production, although incipient, shows a growth trend from 2017. The national production is composed of 63 authors who work mainly in co-authorship with national peers, with emphasis on collaboration networks between masters and doctoral supervisors and advisees, highlighting the importance of graduate research. The most productive institutions are Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP), Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO) e Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). The six thematic categories identified range from theoretical studies on ethics and values in the organization of knowledge to studies that identify biases and misrepresentation of subjects and authorship related to race, ethnicity, gender, and sexuality.
