The method used was the narrative review of literature, as it is a method that discusses and describes the state of the art. In this way, the works found responded to the objectives of the work that identified the main challenges and motivations of the female entrepreneur, described the profile of the Brazilian entrepreneur, defined the competencies for an entrepreneur to succeed in her career and found that the entrepreneurial career has aspects in common with the protean career.
