In addition, the NEB is considered the driest region, with a strong dependence on the Intertropical Convergence Zone of Brazil (ITCZ) and frequently impacted by El Nino or La Nina events. Therefore, this work aims to understand the impact of El Niño events (ENSO) on the participation in favor of the North of the North in the State of Rio Grande (RN), and how the meteorological systems of great importance to affect the region, such as ITZC A. of these impacts is necessary because it affects the rainfall dynamics of the NEB region, as an alteration of the Walker cell alteration forced by the generation of surface temperature during the ENSO period. The study made an analysis of the city precipitation regime for the entire state of RN and also made an assessment for the state capital, Natal. The identification of ENSO events was done using the Oceanic Niño Index (ONI). To analyze selected data from Intituto Nacional de Meteorologia the meteorology institute (INMET). For the positioning of the ITCZ positioning, the daily fields of emerging longwave radiation (ROLE) were used directly from the information collected by the satellites in polar evaluation NOAA 12, NOAA 14 and NOAA 16 and go through a step of analysis, consistency and spatial interpolation. The identification was made through the values in ITCZ of ROLE, using 230 W/m2 making a frequency sweep to the west as longitudes.
