Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Ciências Contábeis) – Centro de Ciências Sociais Aplicadas, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2015.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/63082The study aimed to analyze the pricing procedures used by artisans from two associations in the North Zone of Natal/RN, ASCOBEM and the Women's Association of Santa Catarina, in order to seek information about the artisans participating in the research, if with the knowledge of costs they have, they are able to price their products, Taking into account the costs involved in the production process of their handicrafts, a quantitative-qualitative questionnaire was applied, adapted from previous studies, from descriptive field research with 28 artisans. The results indicate that, although most artisans recognize the main costs involved in the production of handicrafts, the pricing adopted is, in general, carried out intuitively and without a precise calculation of costs. Artisans tend to set the final price based on a desired profit margin, often disregarding the actual costs of production.
